Awards, Awards, Awards!!!

This last weekend was the Heart of America Professional Photographers convention. This is a three-state association coming together for workshops, seminars, and a print competition. I entered the print competition receiving a score and awards that I had not received before. With the scores of 80, 82, 90, and 100, I qualified for the prestigious Canon Par Excellence award. To qualify, you must achieve a score of 80 or above on all four entries. Out of 69 participants, I was one of five who qualified. I ended up being the chosen photographer to win the award. I was presented with a crystal Canon trophy and a Canon 5D Mark II camera kit with a retail value of $3500. Some of the other awards that I won were Master Photographer of the Year for the region and the state of Missouri, a Kodak Gallery award, and the ASP Elite award for the region and the state of Missouri. All together, I took home 17 awards. Here are the entries that received the awards.
